The Cailleach (“Kal-yach”) is an old Gaelic Goddess. Her name means ‘Veiled One’ and ‘Witch’. She is said to have shaped Ireland, the Isle of Man and Scotland by dropping rocks from her apron and hammering great valleys into form. She is as old as time possessing an ox bone for each year she has been on this earth. She is the wisest of all our ancestors.
